"And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee," - Luke 24:5-6

On March 31st, the church will celebrate the greatest day in the history of mankind. Yes, the birth of Jesus was wonderful news indeed. His torture and crucifixion were a very important day, for without the shedding of His blood, there is no remission of sins. However, all of this, His birth, His miracles, His death, and burial would have been futile, if He hadn't risen from the dead.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:14 - "And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain." Verse 17 says, "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain, ye are yet in your sins."

Easter is not about he Easter Bunny, colored eggs, or fancy clothes. It's about Jesus's victory over death, hell, and the grave. Easter is the culmination of the Passion of the Christ.

It's about a celebration and a promise. It's about the Christian living happily ever after. Jesus said, "Because I live, ye can live also." What a promise! So, lets celebrate, "death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave where is thy victory?"(1 Corinthians 15:54-55) "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:57)
